Silver Origin
About Silver Origin
Silver Origin is a new luxury vessel purpose-built for expedition cruises in the Galapagos Islands. Offering the capacity for just 100 guests, Silver Origin is the perfect choice if you are seeking a high level of onboard comfort and facilities on your Galapagos cruise.
For exploration and sightseeing, Silver Origin is equipped with a fleet of eight Zodiacs which are deployed daily – weather-permitting – as well as water-sports and diving apparatus. In addition to the excellent facilities, every voyage on Silver Origin is accompanied by a highly trained Expedition Team, all of whom who are certified by the National Park of the Galapagos and will be on-hand throughout to lead excursions and a series of daily briefings and lectures.
Onboard, Silver Origin is in a class of its own when compared to other ships in the region. As such, you can expect a range of first-class facilities and amenities. The all-suite accommodation is luxuriously-appointed, offering both ocean views and butler service, while the ship’s two dining options combine mouth-watering international cuisine with a traditional Ecuadorian twist.
In terms of public spaces and lounges, those on Silver Origin have been designed to complement the natural beauty of the Galapagos Islands and as such, are spacious, light and airy. The Basecamp lounge is one of the key spaces onboard, and it is here where guests can learn more about the places they are visiting courtesy of a range of educational activities and an interactive digital wall that is used to project videos, photos and excursion previews.
The Observation Lounge, situated at the front of the ship, provides an elegant space in which to relax and is blessed with glorious ocean views courtesy of large floor-to-ceiling windows, while the Explorer Lounge serves as the hub of the ship for daily briefings, presentations and lectures.
To reduce the ship’s carbon footprint, Silver Origin has been designed to operate without an anchor and instead uses innovative dynamic positioning to keep her stable when not in motion, while all guests receive a free reusable water bottle to keep the ship free of unnecessary plastics.
