RV Katha Pandaw
About RV Katha Pandaw
RV Katha Pandaw was built in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) and is used now located in India.
Every expedition that sails on RV Katha Pandaw boasts a full programme of excursions and tours, with the opportunity to leave the ship and explore ashore twice a day. Led by the ship’s team of local guides, the tours provided are diverse enough to suit all tastes; with visits to monasteries, craft markets and wildlife reserves just a few options. Alternatively, you may wish to forego the guided excursions and explore independently, which is made much easier courtesy of the ship’s fleet of complimentary mountain bikes.
The accommodation aboard RV Katha Pandaw is opulent and exquisitely furnished; blending white and cream fabrics with furniture finished with teak and brass. The staterooms, of which there are 16, are spread across two decks and all offer panoramic French windows, allowing you a privileged vantage point to take in the passing scenery. All of the staterooms have ensuite bathrooms, air conditioning and complimentary kimonos and slippers as well as access to unlimited mineral water and a 24 hour laundry service.
Where dining is concerned, you will find one main restaurant aboard RV Katha Pandaw. Originally, this was situated inside the ship but remarks from guests that it was “too stuffy” were factored into a recent re-build and it can now be found outside on the ship’s Sun Deck. Breakfast and lunch are served buffet-style, while the evening meal is a four-course feast of delights. All of the food served on RV Katha Pandaw is created using locally sourced ingredients and thus gives a real authentic dimension to your expedition in Asia.
The entertainment on RV Katha Pandaw is of a cultural nature and related to the region you are exploring and can include dance performances, musical recitals and plays. Furthermore, each day is further enhanced by a series of onboard lectures and educational talks which take place in the morning and late afternoon.
